Nurturing Connections: A Journey of Growth and Relationships

As we reflect on the vibrant start to the year at our Shya Redelman Campus, we are filled with immense joy and pride (naches) in witnessing the growth and exploration of each child in our care. Throughout all our Moriah College Early Learning Centres, our classrooms are buzzing with excitement, curiosity, and wonder as our little learners embark on their journey of discovery.

At the heart of our programs lies a deep focus on relationships – the bonds formed between children, educators, families, and the wider community. We believe that these connections are fundamental to creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Throughout our classrooms, you can see these relationships flourishing, enriching educational experiences in profound ways. From the giggles shared between friends during playtime to the meaningful conversations between educators and children, these connections are at the core of everything we do.

In line with our commitment to holistic development, we embrace the principles of “Inquiry Based Learning.” Inspired by Kath Murdoch’s Inquiry Learning Cycle, our classrooms are abuzz with excitement as children “tune in” to their interests and embark on a journey of discovery. Whether it’s exploring the colours of the rainbow, understanding emotions, or delving into the wonders of the human body, our children are actively engaged in their learning journey.

Beyond academic exploration, we also instil important values such as compassion and generosity. Through initiatives like collecting tzedakah to help others in our community and sending Mishloach Manot baskets to our sister school in Israel, Salit Harava, we teach our children the significance of giving back and supporting one another.

We are particularly proud of the connections forged between generations within our community. Our Prachim class had the privilege of visiting the Moran in Vaucluse to meet and sing Purim songs with the older members of our community. These intergenerational interactions not only foster a sense of belonging but also instil in our children a deep appreciation for tradition and community.

As we move forward, we remain committed to collaboration – working hand in hand with families, educators, and the community to nurture the holistic development of our students. Together, we will continue to create a space where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of nurturing your child’s growth and development. We look forward to the continued journey ahead, filled with laughter, learning, and boundless possibilities.
